Swim Meet - WW vs Chesterfield Farms

Coach Rawlings is bringing us some exciting news from the last Meet:

"The Hurricanes served up another great effort on Monday but couldn't over the home-pool advantage and lost to Chesterfield Farms. The score was soooooooo close, we haven't been to compute it yet. We are proud to present our Swimmers of the Week: Berkley Newman (back row left) and John Lindsay Douglass. Mairin Schweppe (front row center) along with coaches Nate Sizemore, Kate Doneff and Michael Kubik. Not pictured but equally deserving are Abby Bellon and George Francis."

Warson Woods Farmers Market

When I heard about it, I felt like the girl on the right of the following picture.

Are you kidding me? No need to go to Tower Grove or even Kirkwood. My Warson Woods has its own Farmers Market!!

I went there last night with my kids. The fact that the Ice-Cream Truck was parked at the end of the Market was a great incentive for my children to let me tour the place at my own pace.

I bought the best Heirloom Tomatoes and fresh Beans ever!

Link to the official Website: LINK
When: Tuesdays from 3-7 p.m. June-October.
Where: The Warson Woods Farmers Market is located at 10001 Manchester Rd. St Louis, Mo. Right in front of the Emporium at Warson Woods.

PLease, check it out next week!

Nice people and great location.

Our weekly report from our beloved John Rawlings:

"We had a great time on the trip and WWST put up a valiant effort against Washington, Missouri, on Monday night. The Hurricanes hung tough, despite being outnumbered by a considerable amount, but lost 269-209. To recognize exceptional effort and achievement – both in getting us to Washington, Missouri and swimming against the competition – here are this week’s WWST Swimmers of the Week:

Front row: Ella Hasek. Second row: Coach Michael Kubik, Coach Kate Doneff, Lila Hershfelt and Coach Nate Sizemore. Back row: swimmers Quinn Keller, William Morrison and Charlie Mullenix. Parent rep and Travel Agent Extraordinaire Delia Andrews was awarded special Swimmer of the Week status for putting together a great bus trip, which everyone enjoyed."

An Ad. that goes too far?

There is not one rock in WW. that I haven't tried to hide under since the French Team fiasco at the World Cup.

Well, today on page 4 of of the french daily newspaper "Liberation", here is the Ad. from Sony that "congratulates" the French Team with the "Game Over" punch line.

No animal was hurt like it is said at the bottom on the page. But yet, it is pretty shocking to see a Rooster with no head (the Rooster is the French National Symbol). Poor taste? Shocking? or simply funny? I let you be the judge of this Ad...

Be sure to register early to take advantage of the early bird specials and guarantee your team a spot in the tournament.
